The literary and musical Sunday matinée is dedicated to the work and ideas of Francesca Melandri. The writer joins in conversation with Katja Gasser and also gives a reading, which highlights the special aspects of her literature and humanitarian engagement. These qualities merit the presentation to Melandri of the 2019 Austrian Book Trade Honorary Award for Tolerance in Thought and Action.
Followed by reception hosted by the Mayor of the City of Krems, Reinhard Resch.
The Austrian composer and trumpeter Simon Zöchbauer, renowned through his ensemble Federspiel, performs together with the Koehne Quartet, one of Europe’s leading string quartets for contemporary music.
