Live stream of Writer Q&A interactive
Moderator’s input via live streaming: Veronika Trubel (Vienna)
Andreas Weber discusses indigeniality and wild thinking. He proposes always thinking of the world as both material and animated material; he explains how animism can help us attain this experience. Especially during the corona pandemic, according to Weber, we should understand that the world is common land that we all create together. We share our lives with one another, and to revise this again, we can learn from indigenous populations to take better care of our livelihoods and to live in harmony with nature.
The plenary discussion focuses on the talk as well as conversations and debates from the previous days about More Wilderness! Rüdiger Wischenbart gives an interim report with personal notations, while Ariadne von Schirach and Daniela Emminger discuss their impressions.

He teaches at the University of Fine Arts Berlin and writes, among others, for GEO, National Geographic and DIE ZEIT. Recently published: Indigenialität, 2018. “Weber’s book is the convincing counterpart to biology, which subordinates nature to the ubiquitous efficiency-mentality, that only feigns objectivity.” Frank Kaspar, WDR 3 |
